Position    Legal Affairs Division Manager

Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

The legal manager will oversee the legal aspects of labor relations act, criminal case investigation, various legal contracts, and corporate governance. This role involves managing legal compliance, ensuring local teams’ training on relevant legal matters, including compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and advise on any documents, ensuring that they are accurate, comply with company policy, corporate governance, and applicable laws and regulations.
2. Responsible for managing, controlling and ensuring the systematic management of legal documents.
3. Work with the senior management team to analyze and provide timely solutions to any legal issues that may arise from the Company’s current and future business operations.
4. Support and facilitate coordination with other departments and outsource firms.
5. To actively participate in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents, in particular, to ensure the business and factory are supported adequately at the operational level (including employment, IT, and health & safety)
6. Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, environment laws, license renewals, ongoing litigations, etc.)
7. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
8. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.
9. Research and update new laws and regulations related to the company’s business activities and communicate internally.
10. Establish and oversee the operation of the Legal Department.
11. Provide legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters, such as contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, and corporate governance, to management on all legal issues.
12. Provide both written and verbal legal advice on corporate laws, labor laws, PDPA, foreign business laws and other related laws as requested by clients.
13. Ensure the legality of the operation of all business units and update laws and regulations related to the company’s business.
14. Maintain and monitor general and specific license of the company.
15. Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, the government, and other external sources concerning legal matters.
16. Brings an effective and efficient management of the Legal Department, provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.
17. Draft, review and negotiate agreements and other legal documents to ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
18. Provide legal support on a broad range of issues as needed, including employment law, intellectual property, regulatory compliances and their monitoring.
19. Investigate, analyze and summarize the results of fraudulent acts
20. Prosecute criminal and civil cases involving criminal cases
21. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specification:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law.
• Possess an expansive mindset, receptive to acquiring new knowledge, and accepting of challenges
• Must possess a positive attitude and be tenacious in accomplishing tasks while exercising integrity, honesty and discretion.
• Ability to maintain high confidentiality, tactful and discretion when dealing with people

Knowledge/Certification:

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Skill / Abilities:

  • Good command in English communication and Computer literacy.

  • Strong leadership, proactive, confident character.

  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers

  • Good computer literacy.

Experience:

  • Significant legal experience 7+ years in Corporate Law compliance, dealing with government departments on compliance and license matters.
