Amid growing global environmental challenges, Pranda Jewelry Public Company Limited remains committed to driving sustainable growth through the continuous implementation of environmental initiatives. These efforts include energy conservation, water management, clean energy adoption, and resource efficiency, all aimed at creating tangible positive impacts on the environment.
Through its environmental initiatives during the first quarter of 2026, Pranda successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions by a total of 275.96 TonCO2e, equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of approximately 29,048 mature trees. This achievement reflects the company’s commitment to responsible business practices while fostering a culture of sustainability across all levels of the organization.
One of the company’s key programs, “Passing on Value for a Sustainable Environment,” promotes responsible resource consumption through sharing, reuse, and redistribution of usable items to help reduce waste and minimize the use of new resources. The initiative also encourages employee participation in environmental stewardship. Activities under the program included the “Treasure Sharing Cabinet,” which reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 165.20 kgCO2e; donations of clothing and useful items to the Baan Nokkamin Foundation and Wat Bot Woradit, contributing to a reduction of 17.09 kgCO2e; and a used desk calendar donation campaign, which reduced emissions by an additional 428.45 kgCO2e.
In the area of energy conservation, Pranda has continuously improved electricity efficiency through enhancements to air-conditioning systems, the adoption of energy-saving equipment, and initiatives such as “Pranda Earth Hour 2026,” during which employees collectively switched off air-conditioning systems for one hour. This activity alone helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 13,562.63 kgCO2e.
At the same time, Pranda places strong emphasis on efficient water resource management through its water conservation initiative, which reuses wastewater from the RO system in various internal processes. This approach helps reduce tap water consumption while maximizing resource efficiency, resulting in a reduction of 276.61 kgCO2e in greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition, the Waste Bank Project plays an important role in promoting systematic waste management, reducing environmental impacts, and encouraging employee participation in recycling practices within the organization. The project contributed to a reduction of 3,138.89 kgCO2e in greenhouse gas emissions.
Another significant milestone is the company’s investment in clean energy through the “Clean Energy for a Sustainable World” initiative. Solar rooftops have been installed at Pranda Bangkok and Pranda Nakhon Ratchasima facilities, covering a total area of 9,010 square meters. During the first quarter of 2026, these installations reduced greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 258,368.19 kgCO2e while strengthening the company’s long-term clean energy capacity.
