Promoting a Safety Culture Through Awareness, Risk Prevention and Employee Participation

PRANDA organized PRANDA SAFETY WEEK 2026 on September 10–11, 2026, under the theme “Together for Safety.” The event focused on promoting awareness of occupational safety, health and environmental matters, while encouraging employees to participate in identifying potential risks, preventing hazards and caring for their own health and the well-being of others.

The event forms part of PRANDA’s efforts to promote a strong safety culture in the workplace, with an emphasis on understanding potential risks associated with work activities, following preventive measures and encouraging employee participation in maintaining a safe working environment.

At the opening ceremony, Mrs. Pranee Khunprasert, Chairman of the Group Executive Committee, employees and external participants and emphasized the importance of occupational safety, health and working conditions as fundamental elements of a safe workplace. Achieving a safe working environment requires the participation and cooperation of everyone.

“Working with care, paying attention to every step, and looking out for one another contribute to safety, well-being and shared stability.”

Understanding Risks and Applying Safety Practices

Our employees participated in 16 activity booths hosted by internal and external organizations, covering topics related to safety, health and the environment. The activities were designed to provide practical learning through demonstrations, hands-on activities and simulated situations.

Safety-related topics included selecting and using personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to specific work activities, identifying hazards and unsafe conditions, and electrical safety, together with practical activities that enabled employees to recognize potential risks through demonstrations and simulations.

Building an understanding of workplace hazards and risks is an important part of prevention. The activities encouraged employees to recognize potential hazards, assess situations at an initial level and apply appropriate preventive practices to reduce the likelihood of unsafe incidents at work.

Promoting Health Awareness and Self-care

Supporting employee health is another part of promoting workplace well-being and readiness. The event provided information on health issues relevant to everyday life, including cardiovascular disease and stroke, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, and basic hygiene.

Executives and employees also had the opportunity to participate in basic health and physical fitness assessments, including hand and arm strength testing, subcutaneous fat measurement and health screening. Participants received guidance from health professionals to support informed and appropriate personal health management.

Building Environmental Awareness Through Everyday Actions

The event also included activities to promote environmental awareness, focusing on practical actions that employees can apply in the workplace and at home. Topics included waste segregation, air pollution and PM2.5, and the beneficial use of organic waste.

Proper waste segregation at source helps ensure that different types of waste can be directed to appropriate management processes. Building employee awareness and participation in these practices is part of PRANDA’s approach to promoting environmental responsibility in the workplace.

PRANDA SAFETY WEEK 2026 reflects PRANDA’s approach to promoting workplace safety through knowledge, risk awareness, prevention and employee participation.

Creating a safe workplace begins with understanding risks, knowing how to prevent them, and taking shared responsibility for our own safety and the safety of others.
