Pranda Jewelry Public Company Limited and Prima Gold International Co., Ltd. jointly donated 30 kilograms of used plastic bottles to the Environment Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in support of the “Magic Hands Bangkok: Separate to Give…” initiative, which promotes waste separation and the recycling of plastic materials.
The donated plastic bottles were collected through the continuous efforts of PRANDA and PRIMA employees, who have actively sorted and gathered used plastic within the workplace. This collective effort reflects the environmental awareness and social responsibility shared by employees and demonstrates how positive change can begin with simple actions in everyday life.
The collected plastic will be recycled and transformed into reflective safety vests for Bangkok’s sanitation workers. These vests are intended to enhance workers’ safety, particularly during nighttime operations and in high-traffic areas, by improving their visibility to motorists and other road users.
The donation of 30 kilograms of plastic bottles is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 88.167 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent (kgCO₂e). In addition, the initiative helps reduce the amount of waste sent for disposal, conserve natural resources, and create added value by giving used materials a second life through recycling.
This initiative reflects the commitment of PRANDA and PRIMA to promoting responsible resource use and fostering environmental stewardship within the organization. The companies believe that collective efforts can create meaningful and lasting positive impacts on society and the environment.
